OnePlus has announced a price cut on its last year's flagship, the OnePlus 2. Post the price cut, the 16GB version of the phone costs Rs 20,999, while the 64GB version will be available for Rs 22,999.
OnePlus 2 runs on OxygenOS, based on the latest Android version Lollipop 5.1. It is the first device to ship with OnePlus' own operating system out of the box.
The Chinese manufacturer OnePlus recently released the OxygenOS 2.2.1 update for the OnePlus 2 smartphone. Among the biggest new features that the OxygenOS 2.2.1 update brings is RAW support to the default camera app. RAW images capture the image with minimal processing and thus do not compress the image data like JPEG images do, but they are heavier in size.
OnePlus 2 was released in July last year and is the successor of the original OnePlus One smartphone. Though available via the invite-only model initially, the smartphone can now be purchased without an invite from Amazon.in.
The dual-sim smartphone is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC. OnePlus 2 sports a 13MP rear camera with a 1.3-micron sensor, laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and Optical Image Stabilization system; on the front is a 5MP selfie camera.
The phone packs a 3,300mAh that is approximately 10% bigger than the 3,100mAh battery of the original model.
The company has said that it will launch its next flagship, OnePlus 3, by June this year.
